Dr. Brian Fraser is the Lead Provocateur of Jazzthink.  He a writer, speaker, coach, and facilitator with over 35 years of experience in leadership development and team building initiatives. In his academic and executive positions, he has established a reputation for being inspiring, innovative, and effective.  His most recent book is Jazzthink: Playing with the Stuff of Success and he has authored numerous articles on leadership and teamwork.

He has come to realize that in a business and organizational environment where change and challenge are constantly reshaping the realities with which leaders and teams have to deal, the wisdom and workings of jazz, that most innovative and improvisational of art forms, offers some powerful lessons on how to motivate and mobilize people to accomplish their desired results.  The combination of swinging music, stimulating ideas, and engaging conversations makes the Jazzthink experience inspiring, innovative, and effective.

Formerly Dean of St. Andrew’s Hall, the Presbyterian college at the University of British Columbia, and professor of history at Vancouver School of Theology, Brian now applies his passion and talent to provoking innovative leadership and teamwork that will make a positive difference in organizations that want to improve their social impact.

His client list includes Toyota University, the North Shore Credit Union, Simon Fraser University, the Fresh Outlook Foundation, Leadership Vancouver, Fraser Health, Vancouver Coastal Health, Volunteer Vancouver, Coast Mental Health, BC Hydro, and ICBC.

He is a professional member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.  He serves as a leadership trainer and book reviewer with Volunteer Vancouver, sits on the board of the Vancouver chapter of the International Coach Federation, belongs to the Vancouver Board of Trade, the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, the International Society for Performance Improvement, the British Columbia Organizational Development Network, and the Plexus Institute.
