John Westhaver

I was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick. At the age of 18 I lost three of my best friends and was left with burns to 75% of my body as the result the choices I made. I battled through life threatening burns as my family and friends stood by not knowing if I would make it. Struggling through a lengthy recovery I was confronted with many psychical challenges that accompanied the burn scars as well as many social and psychological challenges.

Living as a burn survivor I have overcome many of life’s challenges. Challenges that no person should ever have to be face with let alone a teen. I hope that you are never faced with the challenges I”ve been faced with. I hope that you make the right choice when you are in a situation that could have lasting repercussions. Remember I’m living proof of what happens when you make the wrong choice in life.”
